JAMES DARNELL

James Darnell (Bachelor of Music - Jazz Performance) 

James Darnell is a professional guitarist that has been playing since 1996. From a young age he showed talent and ability winning local and state music competitions playing blues guitar. By the age of 14 he was playing in cover bands in the Perth music scene and by age 17 was signed to a record label. James spent the next four years studying at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts completing a Bachelor of Music (Jazz Performance) degree. In the years since completing his degree, James has performed in many situations including: solo, duo, trio, quartet, large ensemble, as a recording musician, session player, on radio and television, and as a musician for musical theatre shows. Along with being a performer, James is also a full time guitar teacher.
